At MR DNA, we’ve made the sample submission process quick, easy, and reliable. Whether you’re sending DNA, RNA, swabs, stool, soil, or environmental samples, follow these guidelines to ensure your materials arrive safely and ready for processing.

We handle thousands of samples annually — and we work hard to ensure every one is treated with care and precision.

🧬 Sample Types Accepted

We accept a wide range of sample types for microbiome, metagenomics, genome, transcriptome, and virome analysis:

• 🧫 DNA & RNA (extracted by client or MR DNA)

• 💩 Stool and fecal material (fresh or frozen)

📋 General Submission Guidelines

✅ Label Clearly

• Label tubes with sample ID that matches your submission form.

• Use permanent ink or printed labels — no handwritten stickers that may smudge.

✅ Use Proper Containers

• For extracted nucleic acids: Use screw-cap microcentrifuge tubes (1.5 mL or 2.0 mL preferred).

• For swabs: Use DNA/RNA-free tubes or commercial collection kits.

• For fresh stool or soil: Use sterile tubes with tight sealing caps.

• Use insulated packaging with ice packs or dry ice for temperature-sensitive samples.

• Ship Monday–Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.

• Overnight shipping is strongly recommended.
